Welcome to our web site...

This site is to honor all Veterans!

We honor all Veterans - no matter where or when they served. As the Vietnam Vets say, "Welcome home brother or sister, and thank you for a good job."

We especially intend to honor the men that were the ones to form the 36th Engineers Battalion in 1966 through 1972, but is also for all the men and women that were in the Vietnam War! We hope to help all Vets with links to news and Veterans' Issues. We hope you'll find something here that will help you, or that you can enjoy.

The 36th Engineers Battalion was only one of the many engineering units sent to Vietnam. We were formed in July of '66 at Fort Irwin, California. Fourteen months later we found ourselves in Vietnam at a placed called Vung Tau (our little piece of heaven, or hell, depending on who you ask). The unit stayed in country until 1972 when it was disbanded again for the third time in its history. During that time the men of the unit did a lot of good work not only in Vietnam, but in California as well.

Thank you for stopping by, and we hope enjoy the site or learn something of interest.
